Nupraptor's Retreat

Nupraptor's Retreat - his fortress - was located on a cliff top above the settlement of Vasserbünde. It resembled a skull; an indication of Nupraptor's role as Guardian of the Pillar of the Mind.

Malek's Bastion

Malek's Bastion was located on a high plateau within the northern mountains of Nosgoth. As the residence of a Sarafan warrior-priest, the Bastion was a distinctly unwelcoming place for any vampire.

Moebius' Museum

Deep inside the Oracle's Cave, in the cavern outside of the Oracle's cauldron room, there was a curious museum. It contained many strange artefacts.

Avernus Cathedral

Kain visited Avernus Cathedral in order to kill Azimuth the Planer. When she decided to destroy the city, the Demons she summoned left the cathedral untouched.

Hash'ak'gik's Altar

By following a hidden passageway within Avernus Cathedral, Kain was able to find an altar in the Avernus catacombs: one that was dedicated to the god Hash'ak'gik.

The Provincial Mines

Willendorf's people mined for precious metals to the east of their city and township. Kain had to travel through the Provincial Mines, and use a Blood Fountain there to gain his Beguile Form.

The Lost City
The Lake of the Dead

The Lake of the Dead could be explored by travelling west from the Mist Form dungeon. It contained an island with a teleporter that took Kain to the Lost City.

The Lake of Tears

The Lake of Tears was located to the west of the Pillars. It was largely unreachable; water flowed into the lake - via a fairly narrow river channel - from the waterfall of Nupraptor's Retreat.

A lake surrounded the home of Elzevir the Dollmaker. This was the Lake of Lost Souls, aptly named considering the dollmaker's hobby. He stole souls and imprisoned them in his creations.
