Conversations In Nosgoth - Chapter One

A couple on a bridge just after the first checkpoint:

Man:
They're here to protect us, that's why.

Woman:
But why so many?

Man:
We need a great deal of protection. The Sarafan have sworn to protect the people and destroy the vampire menace.

Woman:
Have you ever seen a vampire?

Man:
Exactly! They've kept their promise.

Woman:
I'll tell you what else they've kept. Our tax money, that's what.

Man:
Hush that talk! Someone will hear you.

Two men, shortly after Kain is shown how to float by Umah:

First Man:
Closed off? The whole of the Lower City? How am I to get home tonight?

Second Man:
It's just as I told you, my Agnes will have my head. I couldn't get home the last time they did this. I had no place to sleep, and I was picked up and fined for being on the street at night.

First Man:
They can't do that!

Second Man:
But they do.
We'd better find a bed for the night. Agnes is not going to believe me.

A thug robbing a man in the graveyard. You may have to let Kain get killed and restart at that continue point to trigger the conversation. Otherwise the thug draws his weapon while Umah is speaking, and you don't hear what's said. Normally the thug draws his weapon after the conversation:

Thug:
Empty your pockets.

Man:
You again.

Thug:
Be still. Give me what you have!

Man:
I'd have more if you'd rob me less than once a week.

Thug:
Be still I tell ya, and be quick!

A man standing in front of a Glyph box who will talk when Kain approaches:

Man:
That's generous, I call it. You see that? Have you seen what it can do? It will bring light and heat and no cost for oil and coal. And they bring it right down to the poorer quarters for us simple folk to use.
Bless the Sarafan in all their doings, that's what I say, for sharing their magic with the poor.
